BRIAN “HEAD” WELCH’S DEBUT SOLO ALBUM,
‘SAVE ME FROM MYSELF’
DEBUTS AT #13 ON BILLBOARD’S “TOP HARD ROCK ALBUMS CHART”

September 17, 2008 -- Brian “Head” Welch‘s debut solo album, SAVE ME FROM MYSELF, had blistering sales its first week, making its debut on Billboard‘s “Top Hard Rock Albums” chart at #13, #7 on Billboard’s “Top Independent Albums” chart and #21 on SoundScan’s “Top Current Rock Albums” chart. Overall, against all genres, including new releases and catalogue, Head’s album debuted on Billboard’s “Top 200 Albums” chart at # 63.

"I am very excited with the first week numbers,” says Head. “It's a great start to getting back out there and re-connecting with all of my fans. I’m just getting started!!!"

Since its release, SAVE ME FROM MYSELF (released September 9 on his Driven Music Group label with distribution by Ryko/Warner Music Group) has been racking up rave reviews:

“As shown throughout Head's debut solo effort, SAVE ME FROM MYSELF, though his lyrical messages may now be more positive and uplifting than anything found in the Korn hard rock catalogue, the style of music brought forth here is as heavy as anything Mr. Welch has ever presented before.”

--Hit Parader, October/November 2008

“…impressive…songs such as ‘Washed by Blood’ are as good as anything Korn’s put out in years. Download: “L.O.V.E.’”

--Dave Wedge, Boston Herald,
September 12, 2008

“After listening to SAVE ME FROM MYSELF, you’ll have no doubt as to who was behind the original Korn sound…Head delivers a testimony to his amazing life journey and personal salvation while his fans win with a CD well worth the wait.”

--Anne Ryan, Connections (Orlando, FL),
August 2008

“…the music here is filled with as much gravity, grit, and in-your-face heaviness as any other nu-metal band out there today, including Korn…”

--Niki D’Andrea, Phoenix New Times,
September 9, 2008

As he makes plans to launch a full-scale performance tour (to be announced later this year), the former Korn guitarist continues his in-progress promo tour to celebrate the album’s release. At each stop, Head is signing copies of the album, as well as his autobiographies, Save Me From Myself, which landed on the New York Times “Best Seller” list (non-fiction) and has sold over 70,000 copies since its release, and Washed By Blood. The latter is an edited paperback version of Save Me From Myself aimed at a younger audience and doesn’t contain the profanity and gory details of the original version. A paperback of the original Save Me From Myself is also available now. Fans can check him out at the following stops:
