THE DIRTY HEADS’
CO-HEADLINING TOUR WITH GYM CLASS HEROES
STARTS TODAY IN ST. PETERSBURG, FL
October 12, 2011 –
Today’s the day: the co-headlining tour with THE DIRTY HEADS
and Gym Class Heroes kicks off in St. Petersburg, FL at Jannus Live!
and runs through November 19 in Anaheim, CA at the House of Blues.
The Southern California
band is heading out on tour, once again, in support of their ANY
PORT IN A STORM debut album, which has recently spawned the
new single, “Believe.” THE DIRTY HEADS--Dustin Bushnell
(vocals/guitar), Jared Watson (vocals), Jon Olazabal (percussion),
Matt Ochoa (drums), David Foral (bass)—recently performed
the song on FUEL TV’s “The Daily Habit,” which
can be seen here: http://bit.ly/pLAbOd.
A live video of the song can be seen on their official YouTube page
here: http://bit.ly/nXtUeK.
In addition to general
tickets that are currently on sale, THE DIRTY HEADS is offering
their fans a VIP “Believe” Meet & Greet Package,
which includes one General Admission ticket, one Meet & Greet
with the band, one signed poster, one T-shirt and one Commemorative
VIP Laminate. Details can be found on the band’s website at
www.dirtyheads.com.
THE DIRTY HEADS were
called one of Rolling Stone's “Best New Bands of 2010.”
Their debut single, “Lay Me Down,” spent 11 weeks at
#1 on Billboard’s “Alternative Songs” chart,
holding the record for the longest reign at #1 for an indie label
and remained in the chart’s history. It remained in the Top
12 for another 39 weeks after that. And the song has been heard
over 250,000 times on radio stations across the U.S. THE DIRTY HEADS
has been heard in numerous TV shows and movies including “Horrible
Bosses,” “Surf’s Up,” “Shark,”
Surfer Dude,” “Blue Crush 2” and “Rob Drydeck’s
‘Fantasy Factory.’” They’ve also been featured
in “The SIMS” and “Tap Tap Revenge” video
games. Since the release on the Executive Music Group label via
Fontana/Universal, their debut album, ANY PORT IN A STORM,
has sold nearly 200,000 copies nationwide. Produced by Steve Fox
and Stan Frazier, and mixed by Beastie Boys’ producer Mario
C., the album features one of the last recorded performances by
legendary Beatles collaborator Billy Preston.
