October 22,
2009 -- It’s the news that fans of THE DEAR HUNTER
have been waiting for. The video for “What It Means To
Be Alone” from their critically acclaimed ACT III:
LIFE AND DEATH (Triple Crown Records) will make its world
premiere on MTV2’s “Subterranean” program
this Sunday, October 25 at 1:00 AM ET/PT and will start a rotation
on MTVu and will be added to MTV’s website beginning next
week.
Singer/pianist/guitarist/lyricist/multi-instrumentalist
Casey Crescenzo directed and produced the animated video at
his home studio in Providence, RI along with Glenn Thomas of
Synapse Design, who also handled the art direction, design and
layout of ACT III: LIFE AND DEATH’s packaging.
Work on the video continued once the band’s headlining
tour started on September 23.
"It was very
rewarding to finally parallel visuals with the audio,”
says Crescenzo. “We worked very hard to compliment the
tone of the song and I couldn't be more happy with the result."
THE DEAR HUNTER—Crescenzo,
Andy Wildrick (guitar), Erick Serna (guitar), Nick Crescenzo
(drums), Nate Patterson (bass)—is currently criss-crossing
the U.S. with Thursday and will start another round of headlining
dates on October 25--with Annuals and Steve Brodsky (Cave In)
opening--before starting up with Thrice on November 15.
