Amanda Cagan is taking the music business by storm with her thriving independent publicity firm, ABC Public Relations. Having worked on press campaigns for a wide range of music artists from Alanis Morissette to Backstreet Boys to Korn to David Lee Roth and most everyone in-between, she's now concentrating her energies on her own roster of talented clients.

Tackling all facets of national, regional and tour press, the exceptional diversity of artists at ABC PR gives Amanda the opportunity to generate feature stories, reviews and personal appearances for her artists in all kinds of outlets, from national magazines and television shows, to regional fanzines and newspapers, to satellite radio specials and Internet publications. With ABC PR, no publicity stone is left unturned.

Amanda’s motto: “If an artist wants to work, I’ll put them to work!”

Amanda began her extensive career at MSO (the Mitch Schneider Organization), learning the ropes and mastering her public relations skills. During her 10 years with this industry leader, she spearheaded successful campaigns for Alanis Morissette, Green Day, The Black Crowes, Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers and David Lee Roth, among many others. In 1999, she orchestrated Korn’s memorable appearance on “South Park,” which included the world premiere of the first single from their multi-platinum Issues album. And in 2000, she secured Blind Melon a place in VH1 history with their very own “Behind The Music” special.

At entertainment publicity powerhouse Bragman Nyman Cafarelli, she started the company’s first music division, working with artists such as Nickelback, Phil Ramone and Maroon5.

Backstreet Boys, TLC, Janet Jackson, The Artist Formerly Known As Prince, The Family Values Tour, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Nickelback, Maroon 5, Slipknot and Julian Lennon (see left for full artist history) have also benefited from Amanda’s expertise.

She continues to take independent public relations to a new level with her ever-expanding roster of extraordinary clients. To wit:

Multi-Platinum rockers Journey celebrated 30 years of making music throughout 2005. In January they received a star on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame. Summer 2005 found the band on a massive five-month U.S. tour. As a sign of gratitude to their devoted fans who helped put Journey in the top 30 best-selling music groups of all time (having sold over 75 million albums worldwide), copies of their 13th studio album, Generations, were given away free with the purchase of a ticket at most of the concerts along the tour route. The album was officially released in-stores on October 4 on Sanctuary Records. They’re heading out once again the summer of 2006 for a massive U.S. tour alongside Def Leppard starting June 23.

Sevendust are currently criss-crossing the U.S. in support of their critically acclaimed Next album (7Bros. Records). After wrapping up a three-month headlining tour along with Wicked Wisdom, Socialburn and Nonpoint, they’re hitting the road in May for another round of headlining dates. Beginning with their 1997 self-titled debut, the band, despite a self described “roller coaster ride,” has sold nearly four million units in the U.S. alone and is determined to continue to expand its domain to the rest of the world.

Guitar virtuoso and Grammy® Award nominee Tommy Emmanuel will release an array of sights and sounds for six-string aficionados the summer of 2006. First his DVD release, Live At Her Majesty’s Theatre, Ballarat, Australia, will come out July 11, followed by his sixth U.S. album, The Mystery, which will be released August 22. Both are on the Favored Nations Acoustic label, which is co-owned by renowned guitarist Steve Vai. Fans will also be treated to his magnificent guitar work as he performs live as part of an extensive tour kicking off June 6.

Slow Motion Reign is releasing their self-titled debut album July 25 on Serjical Strike Records (RED Distribution). It was produced by System of a Down singer Serj Tankian, who is also the label’s proud owner. The results are stunning. Recorded with warmth and three-dimensional depth, Slow Motion Reign’s debut is hypnotic and vividly rich, brimming with lyrics and intricate chord structures as indelible as its hooks. The band will be hitting the road later this year.

Stay tuned to ABC PR and keep a close eye on even more extraordinary publicity feats by Amanda Cagan in the very near future!
